Fave Chef--The Journey

I feel like I'm on stage behind the lights. I know the audience is there , I can hear and sense them but the light is blinding and they don't know that I'm relying on their voices to reassure me that they can see and understand what I'm saying. I won't lie, Social Media has always felt that way to me and the fear has been crippling. So it's ironic that I am in a contest that requires me to interface with Social Media to get votes. I have to share that for the past 5 years every coach I've looked at ( and there have been many, speaking, writing, visual art) every womens empowerment group I've joined and every self help book on career an business advancement has told me the same thing--Use Social Media, it can make or break you! I've been hiding in plain sight,doing the least and hoping it (Social media) was a fad that would move on before I actually had to follow their advice. When I finally got fed up with not being able to do what I wanted with my non profit, had to close a business down and faced either feeling like a total failure or embracing the concept of a Second Act with gusto--I took a leap of faith and found myself in a social media based contest with one of my favorite food tv personalities of all time --Carla Hall. She is also an author and publisher of her own magazine, both things I aspire to be as well--well I'm already an author but A published cookbook author-Ive been working on that for years! So it was keep leaping or keep hiding and I was done with hiding. I rely on My Lord and let me tell you He came through in a big way, I mean it was a true show up and show out moment that delivered me into several classes and a state of the art coaching program to help me finally get to the bottom of why Social Media and Success in my life were so hard! The timing was mind blowing! The content is Earth Shattering! It's so much to share! I'm sure I've drafted three books just in my notes! It's also literally school that is going on at the same time as this contest and I go to bed with my eyes crossing as I cross off the last thing on my list often a small post to keep my followers in the loop because my social media coach is in my head " Did you post today?!' And she's right, I've committed to sharing the journey, so make no excuses and post darn it! My favorite Social Media is blogging or newsy letters in email so I'm committing to doing these as well as the second act needs a lot of support: My work with -The Environment, Healthcare and The Art in my life are all meant to be shared and I see that now, I OWN that now in a way I never have before! Please be patient as I work on getting better with the sharing and know if it gets scanty its not for lack of love. I fight for my Planet because I love it and ALL within!
